Google is the world’s biggest search engine! Did you know that Google can reach 98% of the world’s population? Talk about opportunities!

While Google is known for being the world’s leading search engine, it’s important for business owners to understand that Google is SO much more than an indexing engine.

In this short post, you’ll learn about 7 Best Google Marketing Tools you could use to immediately improve your online visibility!

1: Google My Business

Want to get more exposure in Local Search Results?

All you need to do is claim your Google My Business listing.

Once claimed, Google will send an address verification code to the address you provided for the signup.

Once you’ve verified your business address, your listing is live and your business can get featured in search results and on Google Maps!

One of our favorite advantages of having a Google My Business listing is the fact that you can now get your business reviewed! Reviews are great because they give potential customers a glimpse of your business. They set expectations via shared experiences.

They use a 5-Star rating system. Five being the highest, and 1 being the lowest. The goal is to provide resonating experiences to your customers, to compel them to leave you a positive review! The more positive reviews you get, the more visible you become!

Google obviously prioritizes businesses with better reviews. Otherwise, if Google was suggesting 1 & 2.5 Star businesses, you’d probably start searching elsewhere, where suggestions are more relevant!

2: Google Web Master Tools

If you want insights into Google’s “opinion” of your website and its performance, then you’ll want to set up a Google Webmaster Tools account. Google Webmaster Tools will send you updates on any anomalies that may prevent you from being found in Google Search Results while also giving you an insight into how your existing traffic is finding you online.

Here’s a brief introductory video Google made that explains Google Search Console

Keep in Mind that Google is in the Business of Making Money!

Each year the Google Ad formats change, taking up more slots and more visible SERP (Search Engine Results Page) real estate.

Today, if you were to search for a local business or a service, you’ll most likely need to scroll past the ads to the bottom 2/3 of the visible screen space. On mobile, it’s almost two and a half swipes down!

Here is an illustration of the first Organic Listing (assuming you have the best SEO in your area for that search term)

All in all, if you’re not advertising on Google you’re missing out. Especially if you’re not ranked #1 for every single keyword associated with your business! Google Ads is one of the fastest ways to grow your business online.

4: Google Ads KeyWord Planner

Whether you’re looking to target the best terms to drive traffic or you’re wanting to begin collecting data on targeted search terms and analyze which terms lead to the most conversions (leads/sales) then this is the tool for you! that lead to the most conversions (leads/sales) then this is the right tool for you!

The Google AdWords Keyword Planner, tool is meant to help marketers find more relevant KeyWords for their Advertising campaign but it can also give you insights and suggestions that you can use for your Organic SEO strategy. To use this tool, you’ll need to set up an AdWords account.

3: Google Ads (AdWords)

Did you know that 90% of Google’s revenue is generated through its advertising offering?

The search results landscape is dramatically shifting in favor of Paid Search Results. Organic Search Clicks only account for 33% of all clicks…the rest is Ads.

  • Top 3 Ad Spots take 41% of all search clicks
  • Display Ads Account for an additional 25%
  • Overall, sponsored results account for a whopping 66% of all clicks vs. 33% organic (SEO)
  • Google Returns an Average of $8 on each $1 Spent on Ads on the Low-End and as Much as $13 on the higher end.

This ROI is even higher for industries where the product or service costs thousands or millions of dollars.

For an example, a Home Builder can spend $25,000 on a marketing campaign and attract 60 potential buyers. Out of the 60 interested buyers, maybe 10% will wind up going through. If a home builder is selling homes that are starting at $500,000 and 6 people choose the lowest custom-build package, then you’re looking at $3,000,000 in new revenue.

That’s an 11,900% Return on Investment (before labor & materials)

Point is, Google Ads is one of the most profitable and measurable ways to market your business. Every business owner should at least give it a shot.
